Many times I get all caught up in the complexity of God and the bible and I lose site of the incredible simplicity of the Christian faith. Proverbs provides the direct and simple instruction that a guy like me craves but so many times overlooks. I find that my growth as a Christian comes when I have that child like faith. This unencumbered view allows me to hear and follow the Holy Spirit and allow God to direct my life. And I can truly say that the study of proverbs has helped me get to that unencumbered state.
