The Next Right Step

A friend of mine, who is also a pastor, asked me what are my personal signs that I need a vacation or a break. I thought this would be a good blog post, so here are my signs that I need vacation.

1) There is an uncomfortable glare from my white legs

2) I start thinking I should buy a cat

3) I ask my children to speak to me in bullet points

4) I end all my sermons with, “but what do I know anyway.”

5) I have too much money in my checking account

6) In counseling sessions I have to constantly say, “remind me again what you were talking about.”

7) It is sunny outside, but I am writing a blog post.
