I am not one of these people who finds their identity or identity for the ministry I lead by pointing out what is wrong. This goes for the “the Church” in general, other churches or ministries.
In fact, I am often dismayed by some bloggers (often out the hyper reformed bent) who who try to gain notoriety, not by what they do for Jesus, but by who they judge. These people come from all stylistic bents, traditional, emergent etc. I will not give you their names for that would further prolong the havoc they wreak from their parents basements. We only get one example of these kind of people in the bible and they are called Pharisees. Here is the problem, God does not seem to like them very much.
It is OK to have healthy debate and sometimes healthy disagreement on how we do ministry, and nuances of theology. See I am pretty sure that all of us have flawed theology and practice to some extent this side of heaven. See, there is this thing called grace and if we can not practice it with each other, it does not bear much witness to the fact we have received it from God. This saddens me most for those who are yet to believe in the grace of Jesus Christ.
