Ben,

I really appreciate your blog and the things you share here. This one from Feb 12 particularly struck me. What a great reminder to be willing to follow God where he calls us to go with absolute trust in his character and in the confident knowledge that he truly has the best plan for us!

I attend Southlake in West Linn, OR, and have so thoroughly enjoyed your messages there that I have recently become a "Next Right Step" subscriber.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that you are an encouragement to folks down here in Oregon, too. As is always the case (I believe), your influence extends much further than you can imagine.

Thanks for the good words.

Keep it up!

Ben:

I am going to miss taking one of your classes. I am just getting ready to start up again and was looking forward to getting a class with you again. Well, I understand why you did it. I heard one time that the healthy yes/no ratio is 1:9. Too many times we say yes 9 times to every 1.

Ken

"To everything there is a season..."

Appreciating with you that sometimes the Lord tells us to "go to the place I will show you..." and we are to trust him enough to go before we know the exact destination where we will end up. We trust, Him, though, to bring us to where He is.

Just because you do what's right, doesn't mean it feels good. Prayers for you as you make this transition and deal with change and loss. Thank you for your sacrificial love for us, Pastor.
