The Next Right Step

I know that most of you who follow my blog are pastors from other churches, attenders of Timberlake Church or of one of the former churches I served as pastor. I get often get e-mailed the question, “how is it going.” Here is an update.

1. Over 200 people have made decisions for Jesus Christ in the past five months. This is the thing that energizes me more that anything else.

2. Over 200 more people are volunteering in ministries.

3. We have added a Saturday Night Service. We are only two weeks into it, but so far, so good.

4. Money is still tight. Giving has improved greatly in the past five months but we are still not at as healthy in this area as I would like.

5. People are showing up to worship. Our attendance has been up to over 1500 the last two weeks. It is exciting to see God meet our five year dream for attendance in five months.

Areas for prayer: 1. Typically there is a drop off in attendance in the winter at Timberlake, so pray for us as we consider ways to counter this seasonal pattern. 2. For our launch some new connect and discipleship initiatives in February to help people grow. 3) That God would continue to add to the number of those are accepting Him in their lives.
