Blogs are like rummage sales, you have to go through a lot of junk to find a treasure. I not only write a blog, I also read a number of blogs. I want to share with you a few of my favorite recent blog posts, most of which are concerning church leadership. If you are not in church leadership, I still think you will find them interesting, if not helpful.
1. The first one is by Tony Morgan, one called 10 Reasons I Don’t Like Most Christians. This is thought provoking, funny and a needed challenge to most believers.
2. The second is Four Arguments You Can’t Win. This is a blog post for Church planters, but can apply to many of those who are Pastors and Christian Leaders.
3. The third one is by Tim Stevens. In this blog post he quotes Andy Stanley, one of the most effective Christian leaders of our day. This post on Momentum really got me thinking about the extraordinary momentum we are experiencing at Timberlake. My question is how do we not get in the way of what God is doing.
I hope you enjoy these blogs, or at least they make you think.

Love the blog post on Ten Reasons I Don’t Like Christians. Lord save us from ourselves!
“Ten Reasons…” reminds me that Jesus’ passion for us is “Good News.”
I’m sad for the pastor in the blog about “Arguments You Can’t Win.” He is missing the point. There is indeed fruit that can stand as evidence to “win the argument.” I’ll spare you my own essay on the subject. Proverbs 27:17 Acts 17:11; James 2:1; and 1Peter 5:3 come to mind first. It’s hard to be a shepherd and a servant leader.
That being said, I am thankful for your strong vision, Pastor Ben, characterized by your focus on Jesus, your obedience to Him, your accountability, transparancy and your compassion for the flock.
