One of the habits that I have, (one of the good habits), is reading my Bible each day. As I was reading yesterday God reminded me of a simple truth. Here it is:
“He saved us, not because of the things we have done, but because of his mercy.” Titus 3:5 (NIV)
This is an awesome scripture that can shape our lives! The reality is that my relationship with God has more to do with His decision to love me, than my decision to love Him. Furthermore, this does not change not matter how long you are a Christian. I deserve hell and am offered heaven. I deserve judgment and am offered grace.
As I was drinking my coffee and reading my Bible this morning my prayer was this, “God I take you up once again on your offer of mercy in every aspect of my life, for today, for tomorrow and for eternity. ” My hope is that if you have never take God up on his amazing offer, or if you have but you feel like you are not living in that reality, that you will take God up on His offer of mercy and grace.

AMEN!! If more of us would really GET THIS and take it to heart we would really expereince the Lord’s grace in fullness~again AMEN Ben!
