Tonight I spoke at Southlake Church in West Linn, Or. What a great group of people! They even appreciated, (or tolerated), my sense of humor. It was very encouraging to talk with people after the service and hear the great things that God has done in their lives through the ministry of the church
After the service I had dinner with the pastor Kip Jacob and the worship leader Wilson Smith, both of whom are very cool. This church has seen amazing growth over the past six years growing from 300 to 3000. The major newspaper in Oregon did an article on the church last week that you can check out online.

We enjoyed your message today at Southlake and are sending the message to our son serving in Iraq! We thought it was light enough for our son to get some laughs but had much meaning!

Well written article.
We’ve been attending Southlake since there were just a few hundred familes going. Proud to say we’ve been part of helping Southlake grow and be a source of outreach to the community. You’re right, Pastor Kip is great and Wilson’s energy keeps us all inspired. We travel 20 minutes to attend this church every week because it’s the best one we’ve found.
