Four Things I Learned on the Road Today!

1. Traveling is a great time to talk to your kids (They are trapped).
2. Check out the hotel room, before you check in (or bring air freshener)
3. I need to spend more time just looking at and enjoying God’s Creation.
4. If I give up being a pastor, I will not become a trucker.

A good Saturday morning to you Ben and family.
My husband David has emailed you but this is my first contact.
Having read your blog for the last couple of days and “Jack” reminded me of “Marly and Me” I’m certain that you’ve probably already read the book by John Grogan, but if not its a really good read and when I saw Jack’s picture it made me think of the book immediately.

I’m not sure about “Fout” Things but I know there’s a lot to learn when moving a family over a thousand miles.

David and I are new to Timberlake, coming from Twin Lakes Church in Santa Cruz just months ago and are so looking forward to meeting you and your family.

May God bless you as you make this transition to “His countryside”. It is with great anticipation that we receive you as our new pastor.

    Blessings,
    Carolyn Yingling

    Carolyn,

A friend just gave me “Marly and Me.” I am looking forward to reading it. Also thanks for giving me a heads up on my “fout things.” I am minus my editor, (my former assistant) and am now realizing (again) how she was such a blessing. We can’t wait to meet you and the whole Timberlake Church Family.

Hi Ben, This is Mark Wedemeyer. Not sure if you remember me or not, but your wife turned us on to the fact that you are now blogging. Very cool! This gives me the chance to reconnect with your humor and personality, which I always enjoyed and miss sometimes. I gather you are moving to a new church and have a new position as the “Master Pastor”. I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that the Wedemeyer family is doing well and we’re glad you are, too. We are still in Kingman and BTW, I am a TRUCKER! Ha-ha. :) Lynette is home schooling our two kids: Jake is 6 and Hannah is 3. They are such a blessing and so much fun. Blessings to you and yours, my friend. Mark
