As the wife in the quote, I must say that I was not as "at peace" with the situation as my husband. I am pretty good at "giving it to God" in our life, but my hubby had me beat this time, (usually he is the worrier). We have struggled financially for quite a while but I have always felt and seen God's provisions in our lives. This time, I thought..."This is it, we are going to lose the house, there is no way that I will find a job that pays that well in this economy, at my age, blah, blah, blah..."

God placed the perfect partner in my life. He gave me a husband who balances my thoughts and actions and gives me a different perspective when I go off on my own. He reminds me to put my faith in God front-and-center.

The sermon this weekend was perfect for our situation. We both cried, and I saw plenty of others doing the same. Amy and Angel's honesty was so brave and helped immensely. Pastor Mike grabbed us as we were leaving and prayed for us, which of course had both of us blubbering away, but meant so much. Before I became a Christian, I would never allow my flaws and failures to be placed in the open for fear of raw attack. Now, I have found the best comfort in the safety of Christian friends.

My perspective has changed and I am grateful for the opportunity that I have to grow and change. I am looking forward to this new season in our lives, (where ever it leads) and am enjoying taking my girls to school now that I don't have to arrive at work so early. God has always provided for us when we were in need.

By the way, we are signed up for the money series :-D
