Western Wall (Wailing Wall) in Jerusalem
This last winter I went to see the homeland of my people, not south Florida, but Israel. It was one of the best trips of my life, and I don’t think I will ever read my Bible the same way again.
Israel is interesting for Biblical, political and cultural reasons. As most of you know, since the formation of the state of Israel after World War II, it has been a safe haven for Jews around the world. In fact, Israel’s Law of Return says that if you are Jewish or have a Jewish parent or grandparent you can move to Israel and become a citizen.
Until recently there was one significant exception: you could not return to Israel if you joined another religion. This meant that Jewish Christians could not become citizens.
However, there have been some recent developments in Israel regarding the Law of Return for Messianic Jews (Jewish Christians). The crux of the change is that Jewish Christians can now immigrate to Israel. It will be interesting to see what God does in that country because of this change.
Here is the article that refers to the changes: Court applies Law of Return to Messianic Jews because of fathers. http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1208870469395&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

I wonder if this will lead to more Messanic Jews emigrating to Israel and the impact that will have there.
I am sure it will as this becomes better known throughout the world.
Does this mean you’re moving to Israel to plant a church? We’ll come too! I’ll get a job at Aroma cafe and work at the church on the weekends. Amy can come too. How exciting would that be? Crystal
