God answers our prayers. However, we often forget that he answered our prayer, or we simply discount the answer because it was not what we expected. Still, answered prayer builds our faith so it is important to recognize and remember how God has answered prayer.
Here are a couple ideas:
1) Be specific and write down your prayers. You do not need to write down the entire prayer, just something to remind you about your prayer. Sometimes when we pray about lots of things, we simply forget that we prayed about this one thing.
2) Pay attention! Watch for the answers. Here’s where a journal can help you; jot down the answers to prayer. A journal is reflecting – in writing – on what God is teaching you as you read the Bible and pray. Journaling has been something I have not done for a while. But I am going to try it again; you might try that with me.
When you do this, God will build your faith.
