A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to speak on the Commandment “Honor your Mother and Father” (Exodus 20:12). This week I had the opportunity to do it.
This is what this looked like for me this week with my mom.
- Eating at Shari’s (the place you go when you don’t have enough money for Denny’s).
- Reliving my most embarrassing childhood memories.
- Yelling at the politicians on TV with my Mom.
- Listening as my mom shared what it is like to live alone for the first time in her life.
- Watching mom trust Jesus even as life gets more difficult.
It has been a good week.
